The first half of 2026 has been a busy stretch for Sunwoda. Orders for its AI data center energy solutions jumped sharply reflecting a broader trend across the industry. As AI computing scales up data centers need power infrastructure that can handle higher density faster response and smarter management.
China Central Television's Economic Half Hour program recently visited Sunwoda's intelligent AIDC manufacturing base. The segment showed the full chain from cell production and battery pack assembly to system testing and final delivery.

Why Data Centers Need More Than Just Backup Power

Server power density is climbing fast and computational loads keep shifting. That means data centers need energy systems that do more than sit idle until a blackout hits. They need stable delivery ultra fast response and intelligent management.
Richard Liang Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer at Sunwoda told CCTV that the industry is in its third energy revolution. He described it as lower carbon energy production intelligent energy management and more electrified consumption. Energy storage sits right at the middle of all three. He called AIDC backup power a critical growth area for the storage industry. His take was simple. AI computing runs on power. Safety and intelligent management are now must haves for next gen data center energy systems. Batteries are moving beyond emergency backup into roles like rapid load response power smoothing and full energy management.

Sunwoda's High Rate Solution for AIDC

Sunwoda built a dedicated AIDC solution around a modular high integration design. Each cabinet can deliver up to 760 kW which cuts down on floor space and lowers total cost of ownership.
The system supports 5C pulse charging and 10C high power discharging. That means it can react almost instantly when AI computing loads spike. The product lineup uses Sunwoda's own 6C and 10C high rate lithium ion cells and an 800V high voltage platform. A prefabricated design reduces onsite work and shortens project timelines. Sunwoda is also pushing an integrated backup power plus energy storage model to cover a wider range of power and energy needs across AI data centers.

Nearly 30 Years of Battery Experience Behind the System

Sunwoda brings close to three decades of battery development and ten years in energy storage to the table. The company has built a vertically integrated chain covering cells packs BMS integrated BMS bidirectional DC DC modules system integration testing validation and final delivery. That end to end model helps optimize performance across cell efficiency safety power response and manufacturing quality.
One thing that sets Sunwoda apart is its use of industrial AI. The company deployed its own industrial AI simulation platform across product development and manufacturing. The next gen AIDC BMS includes electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and AI Agent capabilities. That allows for better cell condition assessment earlier risk detection and more accurate estimates of state of charge and state of health.

Scaling Up for Global Demand

Sunwoda is ramping up production capacity for AIDC cells packs and system integration to meet growing global demand. Two new production lines are set to start in the third quarter of 2026. The company is also moving ahead with overseas capacity plans based on customer needs. Those projects should start rolling out from 2027 onward. With high rate battery tech intelligent energy management and scalable manufacturing Sunwoda is positioning itself as a key player in the power infrastructure that AI computing depends on.
